Another win for Allan Morgan at British Blind Masters 2016

  • 18 August 2016
In what is turning out to be a stellar season, Allan Morgan of Bothwell Castle GC has had more national success with another win at the Lawrence Levy sponsored British Blind Masters at Tewkesbury Park GC. In doing so he becomes the first player to win the British Blind Open and Masters competitions in the same year.

Guided again  by fellow Bothwell member Irene McGee, Alan shot a net 70,78,77 followed by a 67 on a par 73 course to win by 4 shots.

Lawrence Levy combined his love of golf and his artistic ability to become one of the world’s foremost golf photographers. He took up photography in 1978 and in the 1980’s joined the magazine Golf World. Later his gift for photography earned him the position of official photographer for both the Ryder Cup Team and Open Championship. His passion for the game led to his interest in Blind Golf, and his charitable foundation supports the British Blind Masters and has done so since 1988.

Later this month Allan and Irene will compete against England for the Auld Enemy Cup which is a Ryder Cup style competition at Wallasey GC on the Wirral.

Allan and Irene are pictured receiving the trophy from Steve Beavers the Captain of English Blind Golf.
