  • 3 October 2016
The Bothwell Castle GC Junior Team qualified for the 2016 Scottish Final of the Golf Home Nations Championship on Saturday. This is the 2nd year in a row that the team have got to this stage.

The team won their semi-final at the Carrick Golf Club with a combined team score of 389 points, beating Carluke on 405 points in 2nd place and Kirkhill in third on 429 points. This followed a Quarter Final at Eastwood Golf Club where they beat teams from Paisley, Whitecraigs and Clydebank Golf Clubs.

The best individual scratch score on the day was by Kieran Moore of Bothwell Castle GC.

The team will now represent the Club in the final to be held at the Royal Burgess Golf Club in Edinburgh on Sunday 16th October.

The Scottish team winners and runners up on the day qualify to represent Scotland at the Junior Team Home Nations Championship where they will compete against 6 teams from England, Ireland and Wales over a week of competition in Andalucia in Spain in March 2017.

Good Luck to the team and if you can, go along and support them in the final when we hope they will go one stage further than last time.
